Please help. I am closing up my parents estate and discovered this jar. On the bottom of the jar in raised lettering, the following words are found, "A. J. Hall Meriden CT Any help that you may give would be greatly appreciated. Is it a biscuit, cookie, cracker or some other type jar? Does anyone know the value? Some of the finish is worn from the lid. Thank you so much for your help.

First look, I would agree bisquit jar....but second glance....what is the height? They also made jam/preserve jars....

To the top of the jar 6 1/2 inches, to the top of the crown on lid 8 inches.
Thanks for your help.
