Title: very rare german franco prussian war medal
Post by: killdead 660 on June 24, 2009, 10:40:37 AM
this medal is dated 1870-1871 from the franco prussian war and i have done research on this item it and it is very rare beacuse this is the same model that the germans gave all their soldiers but... this is a very rare version beacuse it has an inscription on the side of it in german translated it says from conqured cannon that means that they melted down the cannons of the french and made these medals (the officers). the oppisite side of the date is enscribed in german the victorius army it has king wilhems crown on it also with a wreath of laraul.
