Cooksie & Shugart produce a pocketwatch and wristwatch price guide yearly.  You can probably find a copy to look at in your local Barnes & Noble bookstore.  Lots of potential caveats with pocketwatches/wristwatches.  Does it run?  Does it keep good time?  Is it all original?  Does the face have hairlines or cracks?  Rust or corrosion?  Condition of the case.  These are just a few of the things that must be checked.
