Title: Is this bowl worth anything?
Post by: terrier_00 on July 04, 2009, 04:54:03 PM
I know this bowl is old but I don't know how old or anything about the "Salem" company. The plate has a 23k gold decorative design. It shows quite a bit of wear and tear and has the " old age" cracks on the backside. I would most welcome anyones opinion on this bowl.  :)

Thanks in advance,
Terri

Your shape is Century by Salem.  It does have a worn gold rim.

The Salem China Company was founded in 1898 in Salem, Ohio.  They produced many types of tableware including porcelain, ironstone, and earthenware.
China production was discontinued in 1967.

You need to just search all sites for Salem China Co Ohio and look through all of the patterns! Sorry, no easier way!
