The first is a ashtray,it says New York Worlds Fair 1939.I would like to know if it could be authentic,if not, that's ok.I purchased it at a thrift store for .98 cents.
The other is a dish of some sort, but i don't have a clue.It has the # 56 stamped in the center of the bottom.
Thanks for any help,God bless
I am sorry i thought i posted pic,and viewed them.Don't know where my mind was at.
Again my mind,well ?

I found one similar to your ashtray... well sort of. It's slightly different but does mention a copyright symbol. Does yours have any other stamps or markings on it? This one is made of wood:

And another, perhaps more similar to yours: http://www.msjudith.net/wf/wf85.jpg
It's says on the website: "Brass ashtray with ruffled edge features Trylon and Perisphere in the center. Says New York World's Fair around rim and says copyright NYWY. Excellent condition."
I would say to look for a copyright symbol on yours to determine if it's genuine.

I am not sure you will be able to read this,if not I'll try to get another pic.
It reads N.Y.W.F. Lic 131

This is an original ashtray.
I have seen prices range from $15 to $35 for them.
The ones that bring a higher price (up to $60) are made of carved wood.

Thanks KC.
Does anyone have any ideas as to the other piece?
