Could anyone tell me when these were made, and if they have any value.
Thanks and God bless,Keith

Very nice pieces, the bottom set is interesting to me. I don't have much time at the moment, but I'll do some poking around.

Sorry- forgot to ask, can I see the bottom of both the cup and the saucer of the second set? Thanks!
-
The top cup is a 4 on the scale of 1 to 5 in collectability looks, but the bottom is a very nice cup and if handpainted with a hallmark will make a nice sell to any cup collector. I would love to see more of the second cup, with two lumps please ;D

Here is a pic of the bottom of both pieces. The writing on the saucer is not very plain, however, both state ''Hand Painted''
Made in Japan

the Gold luster cup would average $5.00 Dollars or so. the footed cup. even made in japan could bring $35.00 Dollars

Thanks D&b, I'm wanting to sell it.It is in almost perfect condition.Where would be the best place to sell it, to get the best money?
-
Just what I would say, D&b, $35. Usually pieces made in Japan bring a lot less, but this is a nice one. I have a similar set with bamboo paintings that I may list on eBay soon. If you do decide to list the set on eBay, I think having a "buy-it-now" price would get you the most $. Lots of times in an auction you can't get two people willing to bid at least the value.

D&b is right on the money with these cups.
We inherited a vast collection of teacup/saucers. The gold luster cups generally bring a little more money...but the standard style of the first one just doesn't have the "sellability" and "look" that the second one does ( have at least 25+ of these footed and various other footed styles). Would recommend that you set a reasonable price at buy for or you will get lots less unless it is a high dollar name for the footed ones. Chances are they will sell.
