Title: Is this a French Neoclassical Mirror?
Post by: Louvan on August 16, 2009, 02:45:48 PM
Dear forum members, I have a very large mirror [292 cm (115 inches) high x 184 cm (72.5 inches) wide]  that has been in my family for generations, though nobody seems to know from what style or period it comes from. I have always assumed that it was a French Neoclassical mirror (from the mid 1800s), but I called a couple of local antique dealers to look at it but they also didn't have a clue. Does anybody in this forum has come across something like this and/or venture to make an educated guess as to what style and historical period it might be from?
