Hello,
My grandmother kept a log of her items, including information about this old mirror, however it has become lost. I am hoping to get some information about it. I do know that it is very old. Any advice is appreciated.

The letter on the tiny piece of paper left looks to be a W If this is a W and if it is the first letter of the maker (lot of ifs )it could be Wallace of R.Wallace & sons one of the best known makers of mirrors. Just as a shot in the dark I would see if you can find any photo records of his work & search for a match to your mirror. Other best known mirrors makers -Tiffany,Gorham,Unger. I do know Wallace & sons did produce mirrors in 1900s and worked with silver ( not sure if they also worked with wood) is your mirror frame wood can not tell from photos (aging eyes)?? But maybe someone else here could have more to offer as I am not an expert on antique mirrors. good luck

We would expect to see slat's, or board's on and old mirror backing. with the exception of replacement backing. if the label is correct. I would suggest a time frame of the 1940's.

I agree D&b....was thinking the early/middling 90's!

Interesting, I will have to look into matching up these fragments with some company insignia and names. Thanks for your input.
