Title: weis file cabinet
Post by: pjmonroe on August 28, 2009, 06:59:12 PM
Hi...I bought an old file cabinet today that has hinged doors on top that open out to reveal a sliding piece of wood.  I believe it is oak and it has the label of "Weis. Monroe, Mich".  It is also on casters of a copper color.  Does anyone know what this baby could be worth? It is 25 1/2" x 19" x 13".

It has been a long time since I "signed on" to be a poster, but is there not a big "WARNING" sign (if not there should be) when one "Logs In" to be sure to "post pictures" if they expect a reply.

You're welcome here , if you decide to change your mind , pjmonroe .

It's kinda tough to tell what something is without images ...
Sort of like someone saying " I've got a Chevrolet ... tell me what you know about it"  .... if you catch my drift ...

pj, I am just new here myself but quickly learned through reading responses from these members who are so generous with their knowledge and advice that pictures are really necessary for anyone to make an assessment of an article.  I'm sure if you stick around you will appreciate their input as much as I have.

I did find this link to some file cabinets, a few Weis being among them.  You can also click an addition link to view cabinets that have been sold.  Possibly you may find one similar to yours or it may at least give you an avenue for further search.
