Title: oriental chest water damaged

I PURCHASED THIS ABOUT 15 YEARS AGO AT AN ANTIQUE AUCTION AND PAID ABOUT $20.00 FOR IT.  IT MEASURES 24HX8DX19W. I MOVED TO A RURAL AREA WITH A LOT OF DUST  AND HAD IT UNDERNEATH A WINDOW  AND DURING A FREAK SUMMER STORM SEVERAL YEARS AGO (NOT HOME AT THE TIME) IT RECEIVED WATER DAMAGE.  IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO REPAIR THIS NOT SURE HOW TO CLEAN IT HAVE JUST DUSTED IT OVER THE YEARS.  I ASSUMED IT WAS OLD WHEN I BOUGHT IT BUT NOT SURE BECAUSE THERE IS A LOT OF ORIENTAL KNOCK OFFS OUT THERE.  CAN ANYONE TELL BY THE DESIGN AND LOOK THE AGE OF THIS AND IF WAS A BARGAIN OR I PAID TOO MUCH

 I certainly don't think you got hurt paying $20.00 Dollars. the water damage is not that '' Bad'' it could be touched up.

Any idea on the age of this and what the value would possibly be. thank you for your opinion

it looks to be 1930's or 40's. I would'nt take less than $ 250.00 Dollars for it.
