Here's a few pics of a 9 x 12 Sarouk carpet , just picked up .
There's over 2.3 million hand-tied knots in this little puppy .
Aside from a light cleaning , am going to just keep this one in situ .
Got it for a song & a small dance .

Must of been a pretty good song and Dance, you are talented ;D

The major key to negotiations for this one was ... how should I say it .... a 'marital bliss' issue ....
sometimes things the old man wants are things he'd have to be a bachelor to keep .
The one wearing the dress was the one wearing the pants in this deal .
A bright side of the deal is : everybody is happy now !

Beautiful! I have a hand-knotted Turkish carpet, that is a million and a half knots per square meter. Not an antique though. These well-made carpets are awesome, nothing gets down to the weave. Spills float on the surface like water on a duck's back, and they are a joy to walk on in your bare feet. I'm wiggling my toes in mine as I type! ;D Once you get a good rug, you can never go back to the cheapies!!! Well done!!!

Agree with talesof....once you feel the finer rugs....you will always be able to tell the difference. Hopefully you will be able to afford the well made ones as well.
