Title: A doll bed?

I don't know if it's a commercial doll bed, salesman sample or home made.  I think it's made of walnut.  I know it to be old.  No maker's marks and straps for slats.  Anyone have any idea of worth and/or age?

If it is walnut then its probably a one of a kind "home made" piece. Check the "carvings" on the headboard to see how exact they are.

How is the bedding (mattres) held in place?
