hello ive come across this old sign i think its from a garage was wanting info and wot is it worth

Welcome karly! You might want to check out these sites and contact them. They may be able to steer you in the right direction.......tho ugh there may be someone on here who actually has first hand knowledge of the Aladdin Lamps. Good luck in your search.

Aladdin Pink paraffin is the oil that is used in oil lamps, can still buy Aladdin Oil for lamps. Note also Shell Mex mentioned on the sign. Not sure how far Aladdin oil goes back or it history, From the looks of it I would say 50's to 60's in age. Think before that it was Kerosene used in lamps. This is a modern type Wax oil.

From what I am finding Pink Paraffin was available from after the war until at least the early seventies. If you contact either of the above sources they may be able to give you a better idea of the age of your sign. As you can see from the links below the design did change and it appears yours may be a later sign.
