Can anyone out there tell me how to tell if this walking cane 's handle is brass or gold? I cleaned with gold cleaner and it shines just like my gold jewelry it was given to my husbands great uncle in 1883 the date id enscribed on the handle also where would I find out how much it's worth for insurance reasons?
