I'M TRYING TO FIND OUT ABOUT THIS CANE IS IT GOLD IT DOES HAVE A MARK ON IT BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT OR WHO THE MARK IS FROM CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME
-
It should be pretty simple to tell if it's gold. Any jeweler should be able to tell you. If it is gold it's worth quite alot just from the value of the gold. Where did you get it?
-
It was given to my husbands great uncle in 1813 it is engraved on top with the date given October 4,1883 and we have had it for forty years. thank you for helping out

I have too agree with Syl. it's not like any gold mark I've seen. it would be best to have it tested for gold content. jewelers pawn shop's can do it.

One little comment, it's a walking stick rather than a cane. More for style than for someone infirm. Very neat! I would love to have seen what your uncle wore when he went out strolling the boulevards with that walking stick!

Totally agree with all of the tiquers above! Check it out with a jeweler. It is a walking stick - the "look" mattered1
