See pics. The Brass Handle reads:
Pat NO D-246.690US Not sure if this relates to the dresser itself though. Or if that is just the patent number for the handles. Its pretty heavy wood, has a slight reddish tint so may be Mahogany. Not sure.

Sorry I can't help you with info on the chest of drawers (newbie here), but I did find this info on the drawer pulls. They must be replacements at the patent date states 1977. You can see a drawing of the handle for the patent by clicking the "Images" window above the patent info.

Ok sorry to be so much trouble. it's 1900 - 1910 time frame. I see some tinting of milk paint. condition wise it has some problem's ( Exterior) so it's called a bachelor's chest. mfg unknown. but should sell at $150.00 to $200.00 Dollars.

Design & construction in furniture are very important ''key's'' to age etc. :-\
