Title: Seeking information on green jar
Post by: babapmbt on October 21, 2009, 07:39:27 PM
I just acquired this green jar.  Including the lid, it is 8" high and without the lid 6".  The diameter is 5".  If you look down into the bottom of the jar, there is a raised marking.  I drew this marking as well as I could, since it cannot be copied by my camera.  The outer circle is about the size of a quarter.  Any information on this piece would be greatly appreciated!

Have not found the pattern for did find information on the mark.  This mark was used between 1951 - 1970 to identify reissues of early glassware.  It is not on of the 92 depression ware patterns.  I will poke around a bit more, but imperial has 100's of different patterns.

To Ironlord 1963 - Thank you for the great information.  I just did not know where to begin in my search.  You have been so very helpful.  I will be glad to search for the pattern, but am not sure where to go with it.  Thanks so much!!!

This is what Imperial glass called  nucut designs it is plural as not all nucut designs are the same (like other patterns are) but all fall under the  nucut pattern name .(confusing!!!! ;))  Did I explain that OK??
