Is it totally ruined with the paint? If I restore professionally back to the pink wood it would be ruined? It's already chipping a little near the marble.
-
I really thought it looked like Rocco furniture.

I'm not sure what you mean by "pink" wood or whether that was a statement or a question. Maybe you meant to type ...... "back to the pink wood would it be ruined?" ??? ???
-
In other words, your finish is chipped and your "bare" wood underneath is showing?
Sure don't believe it is gothic revivial!
-
GreenAcres it is Rococo. commonly known as french cottage furniture. french provincial etc. the paint is fine! this furniture is known for it's enamel paint.
-
Thank you! I thought I was right! What do you think nthe value is?

I remember this chair sitting in my grandmother's living room. I've always taken good care of it. Hopefully one of my children will want it.!
-
I know that feeling! You hope that at least one of your children will embrace the love of carrying down a family piece for the generations!
I told my kids that the lucky one who gets my King Louis XVI piece might get me too - I might be creamated and put my urn inside it! :) As you can guess that made them "real happy"! NOT! (I was just kidding just love shocking them often!)

Betty is a Pit Bull rescue. We got her at 6 weeks. She pneumonia,. a was going to die. The 75.00 dog that cost me thousands. I swore I would never own a Pit Bull. My daughter brought her home. She is one of the funniest dogs I've ever had. She's sweet and smart as a whip!
