Title: Brass Vanity (entrance table?)

Hello!

I would like to start by saying hello to everyone, as this is my first post... I was directed here through the miracle of Google, trying to find an answer to my pondry.

Whether I am terrible at searches, or more likely I have no clue where to look, I have not been able to find any information on a peice of brass furniture I recently stumbled across. It is a brass vanity (although I was told entrace table as well) that stands 6' 6" tall, and probably weighs upwards of 200 lbs.

I have attached a couple of pictures to give you a better idea of what it is... If anyone has a notion as to what it truely is, and maybe a bit of history, it would be greatly appreciated.

Did you get any clues from the seller , as to its' history ?

Nice looking.  Would look nice in a larger bedroom with a brass bed.  I'm not sure where it was designed to go.
