Title: Antique/vintage hand painted italian lamps from father in laws estate

Okay, I'm comletely stumped on these lamps - i've looked all over the internet and cannot find anything on these.  They are approximately 18" high, I have (2) they are in working condition - there are no marks on the lamps that I can find.  They are definetely not my style and before I give them away or discard them, I'm trying to find out anything I can.

Again, any help is more then appreciated.

Hard to tell from the picture...are they decals and then highlighted with gold paint?

they do not appear to be decals - i think they were painted on
