I"ve heard the are old from some museum.
-
The answer to "What are these?" is scary!!!!
What are they made of?
-
I was told they came out of a mexican dig and they supposedly represent the souls of human sacrifices. They are made out of some type of stone. They aren't as dense as normal "rock material. Are they worth anything? What are they called?

stone or bone?
-
I'm 90% sure that it is a very lightweight stone. Sort of a limestone maybe. They are very smooth to the touch and not porous. Thanks for the help KC.

They are Funerary object's. look to be ancient. aztec possible. lot's of them have been looted from tombs.

I'm curious as to where these came from. You say they were from a museum. Were they stolen? And if they were dug up in Mexico, where in Mexico and when and by whom. Maybe they are Aztec or maybe they are from last week. If you really want to know what they are worth you need to document them a little better. No body on this site can authenticate them for you, especially without seeing them. You need to find someone who is knowledgeable about Mexican antiquities to give you a better idea of what these are and if they are authentic.

AND (one stop further from what Syl put).....be prepared that if they are stolen to be accountable for them!
Too many people get items that came from illegal means (although they didn't do it....they were unknowing when they bought it) yet possession is accountable.
Hope for you that isn't the case.

I would be more worried about them being fake than being stolen.

Your right Syl. the mexican people view Death Differently, then we do. Christmas is a big issue with them and & there ancestors. I would'nt be surprised to find there market's Flooded with this sort of thing.

KC They creeped me out the minute I saw them too. Funny how some things you immediately sense when there is something intensely "off" about them. All I can say is Whoa!
