Quilts can be very good property. Do you have any idea on the age? Lots of people collect quilts so I'd Google the quilt collectors with pictures and see what they say. Good idea not to mention it's for sale though.

Oh okay a newbie mistake ;D its not for sale anymore per advice. haha.
For its age. Its impossible to get any information out of my dad. He does not give out straight answers. Like once he told me that a chest was straight out of mayflower itself. I find out by simple research that pilgrims back then couldn't afford to bring furniture off mayflower so it was most likely it wasn't even from the mayflower itself in that manner. I think he really watches too much antique roadshow.
Thanks do you have any recomendations on which quilt site to start with though?

I have the same pattern from quilts that my grandmothers made back in the early 1900's. This was a very popular one! Believe they call it the Dresden Plate Pattern - there are variation of it around.
Some history on it http://www.patternsfromhistory.com/colonial_revival/dresden-plate.htm (http://www.patternsfromhistory.com/colonial_revival/dresden-plate.htm)

Wow, this is actually a fun history to Dresden pattern- and thanks you guys for the leads to rockymountain and the informative site on dresdens. This would keep me busy for days though more fun and less frustrating.
