Hi I am new the to group. I have a Ironstone China Johnson Bros Late Pankhurst & Co chamber pot. I have tried to find one like it on the internet to do research but have been unsuccessful. I have found out the the stamp on it was used c.1883 and earlier. It is perfect condition no chips or cracks.
Does anyone know about these types of chamber pots or their value?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi MomToFour, Welcome to the forum.
We really need you to post a picture of your item and a closeup of the stamp.
There are a great group of people in this group that would be a great help to you once we have this!
Thanks and look forward to seeing your pics.

Welcome to the forum , Mom2Four .
Your "Potty" (as these items are sometimes named) sure does appear to have a very early factory mark , c1883 .
Nice keeper item .
You can find out some fun facts about the brothers & the company history at "thepotteries.org" , in the event you've not checked the site out .
Value on older &/or fancy Potties can get high-ish , for this 'type' of unit .
Glad yours has survived the outdoor plumbing epoch !

Thanks Fancypants, I am so new to this I have no relative idea of what high-ish is.
Can you give me an idea? Thanks again!

There are over a hundred of these pots listed on ebay, a couple are very similar to yours. One has a price of $19.99 and the other is around $50 so thats probably your range. It could be more if you can find the right buyer.

Thanks so much, I appreciate the information.

Considering the age of your item , I'd start the bidding at around the $75 to $100 range , providing that it's got minimal wear .

Thanks, that really helps!
