I think this is a antique bedspread. It is a double size and the edges are scalloped all the way around. In each corner all temples with angles riding horses. The center as you can see has a design does it mean something? Any info would be great. Thanks
I did not resize these so I will just post the urls to the images.

I also have another item.. I have no idea what it is but it looks like it was to be attached to a jain of some sport and to be put around the neck. The top un screws and you are able to remove the piece.

Welcome to the forum , 918hatch .
My guess is a wall-hanging type of item (tapestry) .
Looks like mosques in the motif of your item .
My first impression is of an item from India .
Can you post a bit of it's known history ?
-
Need a pic of the top of the "wall hanging" - the part on the back that has been sewn to make a pocket for the rod. Is it edged the same way as the other 3 sides?
The second item....what is the size of it. My first reaction is an annointing bottle/perfume bottle with a applicator.

Hi, Thanks for the reply's Yes it is edged the same way as the other three sides.
For my second item the size of it is 2 inches high and 1 and a half inches to the side.

btw, thanks for the fast replys!! ;D ;D

I do think this is a bedspread that someone turned into a wall hanging!
I do also believe that this is a perfume bottle.
-
I'm seconding the perfume bottle. The stick inside the lid is for dabbing it on.
-
the bedspread I have had it about 50+ years and I got it from my grandmother had had it well over 60+ years. Any idea on the make or anything like that?
-
Looking for some references for you....maybe someone will step in....
-
great, thanks so much ;D
-
Can you please take close up pics of horserider and "mosque"?
These could also be Russian or Kazakh....

Just for grins take a look at the colors/textures

i have had this tapestry or whatever it is for fourty years. It belonged to my grandparents i remember it from when i was a young girl. we would visit them in Oklahoma. my grandfather was a Freemason i thought perhaps it may have something to do with that. It has not been altered in any way, I just have it looped over the rod and secured with straght pins

I do believe that this is Russian in theme and looks Russian in colors! Looks like their woven tapestry coverlets. Was your grandmother/grandfather in the military? Will do more research on it later!
-
I think it might have something to do with freemasons?
-
Maybe someone will step in with something else....but I truly believe it is a Russian theme - having nothing to do with freemasons.
Saint Basils Cathedral which is renowned throughout the world for it's beauty - it's creator had his eyes plucked out so he couldn't create a more beautiful piece of architecture.
