Title: Need help identifying the artist
Post by: syl on March 01, 2010, 02:56:36 PM
I'm trying to identify the artist of this watercolor of the canals of Venice. I can't decipher the signature. Anybody have an idea of the artists name?(http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac71/johnnuss/002-1.jpg)(http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac71/johnnuss/006-1.jpg)

I looked in my reference materials and looked up ty, fy, fj, ty but nothing. The first large letter is a mystery. The second problem is, whether it's just a last name or if it's a first initial and a last name. The large first letter could be stroked down thru the first letter of the last name. I said all this to say I'm stumped.

Could it be Flynn?

I found a couple of Flynn's but none using that signature. Maybe someone else will have some luck?

To me it looks like **rjun but the only name that pops up on the web is Arjun and none of Arjun's work or signature looks like syl's picture.  Arjun has watercolors though.
