Might want to check the bottom of the tin.
"Originally, the tin had gingerbread. The UPC code indicates that this is a modern tin since there were not widely used until 1980's. This probably accounts for the near mint condition of the tin."

Believe yours is from the 1900's.
Haberlein started in 1492 and Metzger started in 1586 but they merged on June 5th of 1920.
The factory in Nurnberg Germany merged to form the Haeberlein-Metzber Chocolate factory.

I've listed it on ebay for a starting price of $50. I think its a reasonable price. 8)
