Title: 1974 quarter no proof?

so i know this isnt an antique but coin collecting forums the people are kinda weird lol
anyways i found a 1974 quarter and it has no proof on it, I thought the only quarters with no proof were between 1965 and 1967
I cant find any information about it and all 1974 quarters I can find for sale are d,p,s proof
is this a rare coin or is it only worth 25 cents? anyone know

I collect coins but don't know a whole lot. But doesn't BU mean brilliant uncirculated? Doesn't that just mean it's in great condition?

According to the info on Wikipedia, having no proof means your 1974 quarter came from the Philadelphia mint. Scroll down the the paragraph marked "Copper-nickle clad series".
