My mother is interested in selling these Antique and/or Collectable Dolls. There are no maker's marks or identifying stamps anywhere on the Dolls. They have porcelain heads, arms & legs and their torsos are what appears to be older cloth when the dolls were refurbished sometime in the past. The one with painted on shoes is obviously older than the other. They are in perfect condition without chips or cracks. The clothes are not original and were sewn for the dolls.
Has anyone encountered Dolls like these before, or have any information regarding them and/or their value?
Any information would be greatly appreciated Thank You in advance

It is awfully difficult to tell from the photos if these are antiques or reproductions. The wigs appear synthetic. What I would recommend is looking at the body construction for clues to their age if there are no markings on the backs of their heads/necks. From the photos it looks like they could be reproductions, but I would not want to make that call without seeing more of them. If they have wooden bodies, you've got antique dolls, and if they are cloth, you should see plenty of age and wear.

There are no markings on the Dolls. Thank You so much for your assistance

We mean check what the body is made of. Cloth? Wood? Composition? Photos of the bodies without clothing would help to identify if these are antique or repro. Even without markings, it should be pretty obvious if these are antique or reproductions.

Thank You. I will get photos of the Dolls without clothing and post them

One more...did any of the clothing have labels on them? If so, what do the labels say?
-
Just my personal opinion, but I would have to say the hair on the first doll does look synthetic as tales mentioned earlier. Also her facial
features a very close to recently produced dolls.
The second one appears to have some sort of 'non natural' hair, but her features appear to be older in style.
My two cents worth.
KC, I believe the OP mentioned in their first post that the clothes were not original to the dolls, so not likely any help to dating.

Collectables, what is the height of the second (blond, no bonnet) doll?

Here is what I mean about the features looking older in style. Listed as a 'World's Fair' doll........not sure what that
would date her at.

Collectables, another question.......have you checked up under your dolls hairline (at the back) for marks?

Collectables, here's a couple of pages that might help you identify your dolls. Without being able to see them up close
it makes identification difficult. Searching 'antique doll identification' will bring up several hits that should help you greatly.
