Well it wasn't the famous America's Cup.  Have yet to find a hit on an American Cup, unless it is from some minor organization.
Quite possibly it really was a GAG Dear.  ;)

Perhaps an image or description of any hallmarks on the base of your item might glean a clue or two , soquilichi .
