Title: Weird German book titled "PATRIA" on the cover, "Batria!" inside.
Post by: Julekpl on May 27, 2010, 05:38:42 PM
Yet another book from my family's collection...this is a early 1900's booklet, in what I consider, excellent shape. It has a very nice gold trimmed border and the inside has a gold trim as well. It's in German, most likely, or any other similar language, other than English. I could not find anything about this book, but I did find a small note someone wrote in the first 2 pages, in July 18th 1925. Other than that, I have no clue about this book.

It's German, the typeface is from the German 'Fraktur' family of fonts (looks like "Fette Deutschschrift" to me). "Patria" was originally released 1916, this is the 1918 print that in 1925 was dedicated and given to a Mr. Stephan Streit by the author Heinrich Federer himself.
