How do you get scratches out of a wood dining room table?

#1 fill them; #2 sand them; #3 cover them; #4 sell it and buy an unscratched one.

Welcome to the forum , emmamadison01 .

The answer(s) to your question really have to do with the nature of the damage you wish to repair .

Scratches to finish-coats are certainly less work than scratches that actually get down to the wood .... also in this , it does somewhat matter if the table is solid wood , or veneer .

Could you be more descriptive , perhaps with an image or two , about the kind of damage you're speaking of ?

Good question, because I'm in the same situation. My grand-grand mother owned a gorgeous table and now it's mine. It has scratches but they doesn't bug me so much, after all, that table has a history and that is the most important. The meaning of it, not the quality :)
Still, hope you will get a solution! :)

Spammer. Like a furniture store would really ask a simple furniture question.  >:(
