Title: Wallace Porcelian Vase
Post by: rhawk on March 11, 2004, 09:12:43 AM
 I have a Wallace ivory porcelian vase that sits about 8 inches tall. The inside is what appears to be gold or gold-platted and on the front of the vase there is a cameo of what appears to be a man (maybe Wallace himself??)
I need any information - websites, book titles, whatever I can get. The wallace collection site doesn't provide any info on this particular piece. I would love some direction in this matter so I can determine what it is worth.
Thanks! HAPPY ANTIQING!

can you post a pic, and a pic of the back-stamp?

Is Wallace the maker?  any country of origin?  Is it an applied cameo?

I found several vases in ivory with applied cameos.  They weren't antique tho'.  Napco made some.  1950's.  About $25.

The Wallace Collection site I found is British, and comprises many art objects currently in Britain, and were of  Continental origin.    KB
