Title: Stoneware Butter Churn
Post by: karenwho on April 05, 2004, 03:53:33 PM
I recently came across an old stoneware butter churn with stoneware lid and wooden dasher.  The stoneware is off-white with a blue stencilled crown on one side containing the number '3'.   There are wire handles on each side of the crock that look original.  I'm looking for any information about the manufacturer.

Hello.......I have seen the mark before. I believe it is early 20th century. The 3 is "3 gallon". I do not know the manufacturer as there were soooooo many makers of blue and white stoneware. Sounds like an attractive piece though......Respect fully........Tim
