Title: sewing machine
Post by: karielynn on April 07, 2004, 07:59:33 PM
I just inherited a Brunswick treadle machine from my great grandmother.  The date of purchase was August 18 1919.  The belt is broken-does someone know of a source for a new one.  I also am interested in apraisal value.  I have the original Montgomery Ward & Co certificate of purchase with 20 year guarantee  :) and parts of the manual.

Hi.  Sorry I can't help with your question.  I did want to tell you that I have a Singer from the same time frame and they used a lead based varnish.  So if you have small children beware.  It caused high lead levels in my son.  I just wanted you to beware.
