Title: Casting Pot with swastica

Hi
I have a Foundry (?) casting pot with a swastica on the bottom imprinted on it. I want to know what it was usd for and what it's worth may be? It is only about 2 inches tall with a handle and very solid.

Its an interesting piece.
I dont know the story behind it, but I bet if you go to the newsgroup "rec.crafts.metalwor king" they will know...
