Really hard to say with the pics posted. Try taking a pic without a flash!

Maybe you could post another image of a side view of your item , foxeygma ?
I just can't tell much from the pics so far .

AND turn the bowl upside down....
Better explanation....try and put the black material flush against the inside of the bowl...then have it turned upside down and take a pic. (Hope this makes sense)

Agree photos are hard to see detail but your piece shape is called Columbia, and I believe the pattern is Madrid. go on-line & pull up the piece shape & pattern to compair (you can see its detail best) If it is Madrid would be happy to help with more info. :)

Thanks Wendy 177 :)I did as you suggested. Found a blue Madrid Footed Compote Bowl same exact thing.I am assuming the color dosent make a difference one just as valuable as the other ? Not wanting to sell mine belonged to my Mother .Trying to identify and get a a general value for listing and insurance reasons.

Color can make a difference when it come to depression Glass. Blue and Red or rather Cobalt and Ruby usually is more sought after. Your is pink and that color is somewhere in the middle of the color value. Followed by Green, Brown and Clear. I have a few pieces of pink madrid, for the most part Depression glass is not really worth a whole lot but has many collectors.
