Title: Grandparent's Cash Register

This cash register was my grandparents place of business back in the 1940's-50's. I could not find any markings, papers or identification on it. Any information would be appreciated.

Believe this one looks like yours....made by National Cash Register (NCR) Company 1910.

VERY OLD NATIONAL CASH REGISTER, DAYTON, OHIO, USA.
C. YEAR 1910, CR SERIES NUMBER 579315 - B214 - SH
MEASURES 46 CM X 41 CM X 34 CM

Yours could have been a refurbished one (they were sold) and you would need your serial number/model number for that - should have information on the bottom side of drawer!!!!

I love it! Is it fully functioning? Do all of the keys work? I'd say right around $200-$300 if it is from 1910-ish. The metal ones aren't very sought after. People want the decorative ones. Yours is a great size though. Just not worth as much as a fancy one.

By fancy...it means with ornate brass and scroll work.

Yours is plain....but very nice.  Does it work?

Sorry it took me this long to respond. The keys are hard to press down. So as far as working, I'm not sure what needs to be done to function properly. The cash register is very heavy to move.The glass where the $ dollar amount is displayed by hitting the keys is gone or removed.

HA,   ;D ;D  get use to it iffen you are going to be using it.

Measure it and have someone cut a piece of "thick" (1/8") window glass to replace it.

But you are also missing the top cover or "cap" that holds the glass in there. Finding a replacement for that might be a problem.

Maybe not...the two links above clean up and sale them.

They may have the part!  Never know until you try!
