Hello I have this head possibly made of ivory or even a high quality plastic/glass type of material. It measures 3/4 of an inch high, 3/4 of an inch deep, and 1/2 inch wide. It has a small pinhole sized hold going all the way through from top to bottom. I have no idea what it is from or what it is. Any help would be great. Thank you in advance.

Wish I could tell you what your item is , Mertanger ....
I'll guess that it's a Mardi Gras - decor/related item .

fancy that thought occurred to me to.......bbbut..... i was really thinking Day of the Dead/Mexico celebration.....the y have items like this that hang from hand held decorative sound makers which makes the thin hole all the way through make sense!

They actually use very colorful and whimsical looking "dead".

Out of interest, do you know whether it is all made from the same material, the face and the head? I know that it's very small but do they feel the same to the touch? Same temperature?

mariok54 it is made all of the same material. And it also appears to have been molded of two pieces then fashioned together. I know it is older than 50 years old.

By-the-way.....nice granite countertop!!!!

If you've got a good magnifier you might be able to tell whether it's man-made or some natural material, the base would possibly the best place to look.
