Title: Nut Picks
Post by: KC on October 12, 2010, 11:06:25 PM
FYI

If you come across coin and silver nut picks...they are hot items from the 1800's!
Few examples of them....

Love the ones with the squirrels on them! Reminds me of a line by Chevy Chase on SNL...*chuckle!*

Sometimes you feel like a nut and sometimes you don't.  I have never seen anything remotely close to those.  I am still looking for figural napkin rings.

Actually the ones with squirrels were VERY POPULAR during the late 1800's and top silver makers made them!!!!  They are so unique most people don't know what they are!

Looking on Ebay its the "squirrelly ones" that command the higher dollar amounts. The other ones seem to be pretty cheap, although there are exceptions for higher quality materials like MOP and precious metals.
