Title: Help With I.D.
Post by: BlackZ51Vett on October 20, 2010, 06:28:46 AM
I'm a metal detectorist by hobby and dug this piece in an area where I've found other mid/late 1800 early 1900 items. I've has no luck in its identification. The small piece in the picture appears to have been brazed to the top front of the the item and appears to be a clip/fastener/loop of some type........

To me, it appears to be a 20th century machine stamped piece, with the loop added, probably to be worn on a necklace as a pendant.

Welcome to the forum , BlackZ51Vett .

My guess would be a lid for a creamer (or a syrup container) .
