Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me out with identifying my monkey musician's. They are not Meissen and are quite large. On average they are about 26 cms tall. They are very similar to ones that I have seen that I have seen called Roccoco Continental style http://www.antiques-atlas.com/antique/6_porcelain_monkey_musicians_/as153a264? I have 4 and would be interested know where they are from, age and value. They do not have any marks on them that I can see. Thanks so much!

Hi, Could possibly be Aelteste Volkstedter figures? But yours seem to be a little too large ... 26cm is quite tall

But they seem to have produced a great variety of designs over the years.
Are there no impress marks at all on the bases that yo can see?

Hi, thanks for your reply. Wow, they are very similar, especially http://www.thebestthings.com/antiques/graphics/v20224.jpg, almost an exact copy! But mine are not nearly so nicely finished and slightly different detail, e,g, pink ribbon around neck vs blue. There are no impressed marks that I can see, but will go and have another close look! Thanks again, will also do so some research on Aelteste Volkstedter figures.
