Gonna hold off on an opinion as I'm not qualified in that department, but maybe this will help.....

Difficult to say, but the second one seems to have a genuine mark, but that's only my opinion taken from the following

They both appear to be fakes to me.  The quality of the glazes and the amount of blemishes look to be too poor for real Roseville.  I think this forum went over fake Roseville quite some time ago.  There is a lot of it out there.  I personally am not an expert or buyer of Roseville but I am judging the two pieces on the pics and the number of flaws in the finishes.  I think if these came from the factory, they never would have made it out the door except in 1000 pieces.  JMO.

I agree wayward.  The bigger piece was actually a gift from my FIL a while ago.  I'll probably mosaic it!  I just wanted to get some backup on my opinion!

In support of KC ... our village is just a stone's throw from the Denby Pottery ... and it is amazing what finds its way out ... probably very little nowadays, but in the past it, apparently, was almost seen as a perk of the job. We have neighbours that have fantastic (if you're into it) collections of Crown Derby (their Pottery is c 11 miles away) that have never sat on a shelf in a retail shop.   ;)
