Here's something I picked up from FIL's house. it is VERY cool (IMO anyway). it is a lightweight wooden case with a cap. Can anyone guess what's inside? ;)

Picture?

...oops
-
Can you gander a guess as to the category:
EX: Pharmaceutical, Food, Tool, Lab, etc.
-
it's a tool for the kitchen.....(though that may give it away...) ;)
-
What's it made from? Or will that definitely give it away? :)
-
A sugar thermometer?
-
ahhh! I thought it would be harder!! ;D
-
Very cool!
-
My original thought was it maybe housed silver hat pins, then I looked at its length and dismissed that idea. The 'kitchen' clue was a bit of a giveaway ;D
-
That's why I asked pharmaceutical and food....thought it was some sort of thermometer!!!!
Like the container!!!!! Nice find!

Dang it, you didn't give me a chance to play :( i just found one of these in my garage today while i was picking for our auction!! Im willing to bet they are hard to find with the Thermo still in tact...
-
Bet they are harder to find intact too!

This is both fun and educational..
