Title: vintage drink set?
Post by: marcylove on November 10, 2010, 07:39:31 PM
I know this is not an antique, but I thought you guys would appreciate it.  I got it at a thrift store in Philadelephia in 1991 for $10.  It says made in Japan, but I don't know anything else about it...

Yeppper Have that bottle,  I had it posted for the first time for 8.00 + 9.00 no takers, and is scheduled to be reposted tomorrow.  Just thought that was kind of Timely post.    Anyway I don't know much about it myself, I paid $5.00 at the thrift store a couple of weeks ago.

Nice  set.  Indicative of the mid 1900's.

This set would sell for $25 to $30 in my area.

I love old drinking sets!  I have one of my dad's, but all the little glasses are missing.  I wish I could find some.  But here's the bottle.

I remember the glasses -- shot glasses, essentially -- were about 3 inches high.  Dad kept quarters in them, from which we pulled our lunch money for school.
