Second catch of the day-
I think this is a crumb scraper for scraping crumbs off a linen table cloth, from a Chinese restaurant... or am I wrong? It's made of some kind of pressed metal.

looks like the back had a piece like the front that is missing and could have held a blade maybe. Really cool looking, but to scrape crumbs the back side would face the customer sitting at the table.

Agree something is missing....

I believe that is the crumb catcher and what is missing is the crumb brush?
-
Yeah it looks like the back is off of it. I wasn't sure what the heck it was, but was intrigued enough to risk a dollar and change for it. Guess I'll donate this one back to the thrift store!

Isn't that a little too fancy to be a "crumb scraper"? ??? ??? ???
Something that purdy ...... when it was new, .... one might call "restaurant medicine".
You know, ..... like "take one after every meal". ;D ;D ;D ;D
