Title: Nichols & Stone armchairs (set of 10)
Post by: Namieg on May 12, 2004, 06:45:41 AM
My grandmother has a set of 10, painted/stained black, Nichols & Stone armchairs with a gold eagle stenciled on the back rest and some gold detailing.  Each one has the Nichols & Stone shield stamped/embossed directly into the wood under the seat.  They each have a Nichols & Stone Co, Gardner, MA Windsor, "The Home of Windsor Chairs" sticker with 2111-5 BLK handwritten.   I contacted Nichols & Stone and was told that this is a "Liberty Armchair" made from maple and mahogany and is from the 1950's.  They are in excellent condition.  They have been in her attic for the past 30+ years.  Does anyone know the value or where I can look/who I can ask for the value?

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Bethany
