Title: Rocking chair

We recently received interest in this rocker but don't have a clue as to provenance and value. Would someone have the time to look at it? Thank you in advance!

I think what you have there is a variation on the comb-windsor style of rocker, which you can see here:

I am guessing that with the decorative lathe-turned legs and spreaders that this is going to date to about 1890-ish during the industrial revolution when lathe work was modernized and much easier to do than it had been in the past. You can help to determine the age by turning it over and looking at the construction techniques used on the underside. Look for any metal screws or nails and post a photograph, that would help.

I agree with the style information that talesof posted.  Just would have to have better pics to determine if this is original or a repro piece.
