Title: I just bought this ....
Post by: greenacres on February 05, 2011, 01:11:04 PM: A while back there was a topic of this type of wooden handbag. I saw this for $2.50. I thought it was the same. It's not a loss if it's not. I'm going to sell it anyway. What do you think?

Post by: greenacres on February 05, 2011, 05:01:41 PM: Thank you, I went to a flea market today. It was held by "The Swedesborgen" It's a small community which is in Bryn Athyn. I live 5 min. away. The Pitcairn Family owns most of the ground. They were involved with Boeing Aircraft. I usually hang at their Thrift Shop. It's awealthy community. The Thrift Shop is run out of a big old barn. They get really good things. Some of the really good things aren't for sale. The Pitcairn's have the biggest weapons collection in the country. I went real early this morning to the flea market.

Post by: mart on February 05, 2011, 07:23:48 PM: I would live at a place like that !! Your purse is a good find and looking at the feet and the wood,,looks like it has some age to it !! If nothing else I would lay it on the side and use it for a jewelry box. But then I like the unusual !!

It has trails into the woods with houses along the stream Builders wanted to buy the grounds. The Trust makes the taxes affordable and keeps the developers away. They have stables, and turrets from the turn of the century.It's very cool.
