My inlaws have been using this (still are) until their new stove comes in on Wednesday. Everything works great. They were just going to throw it out but I told them to hold off that it is probably worth something. They believe it to be a 1950's era. It is about 40" wide with 4 burners (electric) and a wood burner (see pics). Anyone have any idea what this might be worth? Any information is greatly appreciated.

It's in beautiful condition .. all credit to your in-laws! I'm just wondering why they are replacing it?? I'd certainly keep it. Over here in the UK this would get snapped up by small businesses that specialise in all things 50s and 60s ... and probably sell on for not much less than a new one. Unfortunately selling privately (over here) who knows? Sorry

I see them on Craigslist now and then, your folks did a beautiful job in caring for it, it looks great. I would give it a shot on Craigslist before ditching it, even on the free section it could go to somone in need or could be donated to a local charity. If they do throw it out be sure to grab that lid lifter on the griddle and send it off to Mariok, who has been looking for one!

We've been to antique shops and centres every Sat & Sun for a few weeks and never yet seen one for sale. :(

I would kill for a stove like that !! They are quite expensive !! Just curious but how is the wood box filled?

They are $1000. and up here in Texas !! Colors are closer to $2500. I occassionally see them in the Dallas newspaper. Most of those are just electric,,no woodburner. If he could call a few decorators,, might sell it to them !!

Beautiful examples like that are as rare as hens' teeth over here, and as mentioned earlier can fetch as much as new ones. The great thing about yours is that its ready to go! It's not only clean but fully operational! I ask again .... Why are they getting rid of it? :( It'll probably still outlast 99% of anything that is being produced today.

Not sure how the wood box is filled, I will check tomorrow. They are only getting rid of it to get a gas stove and more counter space.

Can`t say that I blame them for wanting gas,,but for heavens sake, put an ad on craigslist for the old stove. Throwing it out would be like throwing money away !! Have they used the woodburner?? Didn`t see a flue.

Being it is also a "wood burner" me thinks you will be surprised as to how fast it will sell.

Yeah the wood burner works, they unhooked everyting so we could move it to the garage when I told them that I think it is probably worth something. We them puched it back where it was so we could get pictures of it. They used the wood part all the time.
As far as how the wood box is filled, other than the two small burners that come off for small items there is a hole (not sure the real word) between the small burners so the entire top comes off for larger pieces.
