I have this bowl which I am trying to value for a friend. I have found reference to the potters and to the actual pattern which is Mayblossom, but I have not found any values. I did see some items in some antique museum site. I am wondering if it is very valuable and collectable.

The bowl was made by Leighton Pottery, UK. Have no idea what the B&L stands for. Could be the designer/artist initials. Leightons name is right under the pattern name. Check replacements.com for approx value.

Looks like the item is one manufactured by Bourne & Leigh Ltd. , based (@ one time) in Burslem , Staffordshire , England ( B&L Ltd. used both the Leighton & Albion potteries in Bursem ) .
The hallmark on your nice item appears to be one from the 1930's , to me , Pringleplace .
I'd say that your friend's item would be considered collectable , esp for collectors of English blue 'transfer' earthenware things ....

Agree with fancypants comments.
Blues, well done, are always desired!

I have seen pieces from this pottery on sale around here ... we're not that far from the potteries .... but can't recall any prices. Found these sold on e-bay, but they were side plates.
